You can learn about the many member benefits available to you on the tabs on the left of this page, on our Member Benefits page, or you are always welcome to reach out and we’ll help connect you with any of them. We appreciate your membership and wish you a successful year in 2026!

Your REALTOR® membership includes a variety of savings and benefits that quickly give you a return on your investment. From reduced IMLS fees, discounted rider signs, discounted CORE classes, a free tech helpline, savings on a car (seriously!), we work hard to provide you with a tremendous value, especially compared to what non-members would pay for the same services. You can learn more about the many member benefits available to you on our Member Benefits page, but we’ve highlighted a few that we hope you’ll take advantage of in the coming year…

ADVOCATE

BRR advocates for policies favorable to the real estate profession and private property rights, so you can continue to grow your business and serve your clients. One recent example was BRR and IR’s efforts to keep real estate as an essential service while other businesses were shut down during the onset of COVID-19. Advocacy as a unique member benefit that, to be honest, is nearly impossible to put a monetary value on. But without these efforts, we can say with certainty that it would be more expensive to buy, sell, and own a home, not to mention, run your real estate business. Visit boirealtors.com/advocate to learn more.

EDUCATE

Our fully accredited real estate school offers CE classes at a discounted rate for members, in person and online. In fact, you can take two CORE courses per licensing cycle with us for no cost — a $50 value! Also, watch our emails and social media pages for savings on online CE classes through The CE Shop, sometimes up to 40% off. Visit boirealtors.com/educate to learn more.

Another way BRR provides you with business intelligence is through our market reports (focused on Ada County, Gem County, Elmore County, and the Four Rivers Region). Through monthly snapshots, analysis, data graphs, and Market Stat Sheets, we invest a lot of time and resources to make sure you have the information needed to help explain trends or to support your comps and pricing recommendations. This is another benefit that’s hard to quantify, but let’s just say if you were to purchase this level of reporting and analysis from a vendor, it would cost at least $35,000 per year. (Crazy, right?) As a BRR member, it’s yours for free – plus exclusive access to Canyon and Owyhee County information, too.

CONNECT

BRR members have the opportunity to come together through networking events, meetings, service projects, and committees, as well through our social media channels and targeted email newsletters. Most of our events are free or offered at a reduced rate for members. Through the REALTORS® Community Foundation, you can get up to $100 in matching gifts for donations you make to a local, charitable organization (while funds are available; see website for details).

RULES FOR DEDUCTIBILITY

  1. RPAC voluntary investments are not deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes.
  2. Donations made to the REALTORS® Community Foundation are 100% tax-deductible since the Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization.

NOTE: Boise Regional REALTORS® does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. This has been prepared for informational purposes only, and is not intended to provide, and should not be relied on for, tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. You should consult your own tax, legal, accounting, or financial advisors about your specific situation.

Additional answers to Frequently Asked Questions can be found on the “Renewal FAQs” tab.

Additional Deductibility Information

Compliance with the Tax Reform Act of 1993, as amended by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, requires that the portion of dues attributable to lobbying and political activities at the State and Federal levels of government be considered nondeductible for income tax purposes. Local membership dues, such as those paid to Boise Regional REALTORS®, qualify as fully deductible.

For 2026, with dues at $156 per member, NAR computes 35 percent (or $55) to be nondeductible for the member’s income tax purposes due to NAR lobbying efforts. Please note that the entire $45 Consumer Advertising Campaign special assessment qualifies as fully deductible.

The non-deductible portion of 2025 Idaho REALTORS® membership dues is $28.00. The $10 Legal Review Fee is non-deductible. Please note that $142.00 of the Idaho REALTORS® membership dues qualify as fully deductible.

WHAT ARE MY BENEFITS?

What does my membership renewal pay for?

Your membership dues pay for a wide range of services, including but not limited to; access to forms, educational opportunities (including two free Idaho Commission CORE courses per licensing cycle), networking and leadership development opportunities, shareable social media content from NAR, IR, and BRR, local market reports with shareable reports and graphics, as well as the various costs of running the association.

If you’re looking for a comprehensive list, check out BRR’s member benefits page, or the REALTOR Benefits® Program Catalog for member discounts and special offers.

DEADLINES

Why did the deadline change to the end of November?

In 2020, members shared a concern with the December 31st deadline, expressing it was too close to the holidays, specifically Christmas and New Year’s. By shifting the deadline to November 30th, this avoids payments being due when office hours are limited. In addition, the deadline is a month earlier than other associations around the country that use the same billing system as BRR, improving the speed of processing online payments.

I'm considering going inactive and don't know what to do. Suggestions?

We understand life happens and focuses change. Good news: You have until December 5th to make your decision before a late fee is added to your account.

Here’s what to keep in mind about reactivating your membership, should it lapse:

  • If you’ve been inactive less than 12 months, you’ll owe a $100 reactivation fee plus full, non-prorated dues.
  • If you’ve been inactive 12 months or more, you’ll be treated as a New Member, eligible for prorated dues, will be required to follow all New Member guidelines, and will incur a $100 activation fee.

What happens if I don’t pay my dues before the deadline?

If you don’t pay before the deadline, a late fee is applied to your account and your broker is notified, but your membership remains active. If your dues haven’t been paid before IR and NAR’s final due date (January 15, 2025) your membership will be inactivated and you will lose member benefits like access to forms and to discounted IMLS fees.

At this point, the balance due becomes the broker’s responsibility. The broker has two options, 1) Pay the members’ dues for them or 2) Inactivate the member’s license with their office until member can pay the balance due. If payment is not made, the broker’s membership can be suspended and the entire office will lose access to membership benefits.

WHAT’S ON MY BILL?

Why can’t I just pay the local dues? Why do I also have to pay state and national dues?

The REALTOR® membership is designed as a joint three-part membership between the national, state, and local boards. Each level of the association provides you with different membership benefits. Get the most out of your dues investment by taking advantage of your REALTOR® benefits.

Confused about how BRR and other real estate-related organizations impact your business? Visit our page, “What does BRR do for my business?” to learn more.

Why is an RPAC investment included in my bill?

It is a requirement from the National Association of REALTORS® that all local boards request a Voluntary RPAC Contribution to each REALTOR® member in their yearly dues billing. It is voluntary, so you can remove it before processing your payment if you choose not to contribute.

To learn how to edit the amounts for RPAC and the REALTORS® Community Foundation, check out our video here.

Why is a REALTORS® Community Foundation donation included in my bill?

The REALTORS® Community Foundation Board of Directors and BRR Board of Directors approved this addition for two reasons, 1) To bring more awareness of the REALTORS® Community Foundation to members and the many ways REALTORS® and industry professionals give back to the community, and 2) to increase the foundation’s funding in order to serve our community in ways we haven’t been able to in the past.

We invite you to learn about the impact RCF has on members of our community by watching this video.

This donation is voluntary, so you can remove it before processing your payment if you choose not to contribute.

GENERAL

How is my local membership renewal calculated?

The BRR Budget and Finance Committee makes dues recommendations to the Board of Directors who has the final decision on the cost of membership. In 2017, the Board of Directors adopted a policy to use a Consumer Price Index (CPI) Based Dues Formula to provide a method for evaluating our annual dues amount, in relation to the changing prices of goods and services.

How am I billed?

Renewal invoices are posted to your online account. It’s important that you keep your email address up-to-date with BRR so that you can receive updates about your invoice, as well as other important communications. If you are not seeing your invoice but are expecting one, please call us at 208-376-0363.

Can I pay using more than one form of payment?

We are able to accept multiple forms of payment but the full billed amount must be paid at that time. We do not accept payment plans.

Once available, you can view and pay your REALTOR® membership renewal invoice online or call 208-376-0363 to pay by phone.
