There are three types of membership at BRR: REALTOR®, Affiliate, and Unlicensed Admin/Staff membership. REALTOR® membership is available to those with an active real estate license, an active residential appraisers license, and to certified general appraisers.

Why join BRR? Members enjoy numerous benefits — including exclusive communications, discounted pricing on classes, events, and products, reduced MLS fees, access to state forms, the ability to serve on BRR committees, and much more!

Not all real estate licensees are REALTORS®.

Only those licensees who belong to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), through their local and state associations, and who agree to abide by its strict Code of Ethics, are REALTORS®.

To ensure that all REALTORS® are informed about the Code, its various Standards of Practice, and any changes to it, NAR requires all members to take Code of Ethics and Fair Housing training on a 3-year cycle.

Learn more about the current cycle by visiting here.

Hopefully, you’ll never run into a major issue with a client, another agent, or during a transaction. But if something does happen, be sure to notify your broker immediately. They can help navigate any conversations or next steps, or advise you on what to do next. If you and your broker need additional help (or if you’re the broker), the associations are here to help. Most professional standards issues are handled by Idaho REALTORS® through one of the following options:

For more information about any of these services, contact Idaho REALTORS® at 208-342-3585 or 1-800-621-7553.

Emeritus status may be eligible to REALTOR® members who have held membership in the National Association as a REALTOR® for a cumulative period of forty (40) years and have completed at least one (1) year of service at the state, or national association levels as an officer, director, committee member, federal political coordinator, President’s liaison, or regional coordinator to a country with which NAR has a reciprocal agreement, as approved by the NAR Board of Directors. You may still qualify for discounted dues with BRR, even if you do not qualify at the state or national level. For more information on NAR’s requirements, please visit nar.realtor/programs/realtor-emeritus-status.

If you believe you may be eligible for Emeritus status, please complete the application form and return it to membership@boirealtors.com. BRR accepts applications for Emeritus status from January 15 – April 1 and June 15 – October 1 each year. BRR will submit this application to NAR on your behalf. Have questions? Please contact membership@boirealtors.com.
