Celebrating 25 Years of Leadership, Service, and Empowerment: Lisa Martin Announces Retirement from Association Management
After an extraordinary 25-year career in association management and real estate industry leadership, Lisa Martin, RCE, CMLS III, RED-B, GRI, Green, e-PRO, AHWD, has announced her retirement from association management effective September 30, 2026.
Throughout her distinguished career, Lisa has served as Chief Executive Officer for six REALTOR® associations, including an interim appointment as a state association CEO, while she has also overseen operations for three Multiple Listing Services.
Her leadership has impacted thousands of REALTORS®, MLS subscribers, volunteer leaders, industry partners, and association professionals across multiple states and organizations.
As a licensed REALTOR® in 4 states, Lisa brought a unique perspective to the profession. She was given honorable mention from NAR for her GRI certification while in Alabama which incorporated a unique feature using cross designation electives, saving time and money for REALTORS®. In California she developed a Jeweled Membership Program which exponentially increased CREPAC investments and was given an audience with the CAR Executive Committee to present the program, which was then offered to all associations in California.
Lisa is dedicated to professional development and industry education. She has served as a Continuing Education Instructor in multiple states, Professional Standards Administrator and Instructor, mediator, and mentor to association staff and volunteer leaders throughout her career. As a certified professional mediator, she has helped resolve disputes, facilitate productive conversations, and advance professionalism throughout the real estate industry.
Throughout her tenure, Lisa consistently emphasized a culture of service built around two guiding principles that became hallmarks of her leadership philosophy:

Throughout her career, Lisa ensured that every staff member she hired, mentored, and trained understood that the true mission of an association was not simply to provide services, but to empower members to achieve greater success in their businesses, communities, and personal lives.

The next chapter begins with excitement as Boise Regional REALTORS® Announces Ryan Swinney as Incoming CEO
A huge thanks to the hiring committee, chaired by President Susan Weaver, members including: President Elect, Lori Otter; Vice President, Andrea Anderson; Past President Debbi Myers, Treasurer, Craig Groves, NAR director, Kit Fitzgerald and Presidential Advisor, Krista Deacon, who worked closely to find qualified candidates and to the Board of Directors for their support in securing our new CEO at BRR, Ryan Swinney.
Ryan Swinney returns to Idaho at an important moment for both BRR and the broader real estate industry. The Boise region continues to experience significant growth, evolving housing needs, and rapid technological change. As CEO, Swinney will focus on strengthening BRR’s role as a trusted voice for REALTORS®, expanding the association’s influence in housing and economic policy, supporting brokerage and agent success, and helping the organization continue to evolve in ways that deliver measurable value.
“Ryan brings the right combination of relationship-building, strategic thinking, discipline, and industry passion to lead BRR forward,” said Weaver. “Our Board was looking for a leader who could build trust, listen carefully, bring ideas, and help position REALTORS® as essential leaders in the future of the Boise housing market. Ryan is well prepared and excited to do exactly that.”
You may remember Ryan from his work as CEO in the Twin Falls area previously. In addition, he has served as a state CEO and most recently as CEO for the Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® in New Mexico.
In his role as BRR CEO, Swinney will lead the staff team, work closely with volunteer leadership, and continue to build strong relationships with brokers, agents, civic leaders, housing stakeholders, policymakers, and community partners. He will also collaborate closely with Richard Gibbens, the new CEO of Intermountain MLS, to align association and MLS priorities in ways that support real estate professionals, brokerages, and consumers.

As the region grows, BRR will continue working to ensure REALTORS® are trusted leaders in conversations about housing, growth, private property rights, professionalism, and consumer trust.
