2026 General Election Endorsements
The 2026 general election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Following a comprehensive questionnaire, interview, and review process, the Boise Regional REALTORS® (BRR) Public Policy Committee and Board of Directors approved the following candidate endorsements and ballot-measure position.
Candidate Endorsements
- Todd Christensen – Ada County Treasurer
- Rebecca Arnold – Ada County Assessor
- Kelceymarie Warner – Ada County Commissioner, District 1
- Rod Beck – Ada County Commissioner, District 2
- Miranda Gold – Ada County Highway District Commissioner, District 3
BRR believes these candidates demonstrate strong alignment with our priorities, including expanding opportunities for homeownership, protecting private property rights, supporting responsible growth, addressing housing availability, and maintaining a strong quality of life throughout the Treasure Valley.
Ballot Measure: Yes for Ada
Boise Regional REALTORS® supports Yes for Ada, the ballot measure to continue the existing Ada County Highway District vehicle registration fee.
This measure would not create a new fee or increase the rates Ada County residents currently pay. It would continue the existing fee at its current rates through December 31, 2046. The current authorization, which voters last renewed in 2008, is scheduled to expire at the end of 2028.
The vehicle registration fee generates approximately $14 million annually for local transportation projects, with all revenue collected remaining in Ada County. Funding supports:
- Road and bridge repairs.
- Congestion-relief projects.
- Intersection and traffic-safety improvements.
- Sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, and bicycle infrastructure.
- Neighborhood traffic-calming projects.
- Safe Routes to School improvements.
Transportation infrastructure is directly connected to housing, economic growth, property values, and quality of life. As Ada County continues to grow, maintaining a dependable and locally controlled funding source helps ensure roads and transportation infrastructure can keep pace with new housing and commercial development.
BRR supports continuing this established funding source because it provides long-term stability for local transportation improvements without raising the existing vehicle registration fee.
Learn more about the measure and the projects supported by this funding at ACHD’s Vehicle Registration Fee information page.
BRR’s Endorsement Process
Candidates seeking BRR’s endorsement are invited to complete a questionnaire focused on housing, growth, infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, private property rights, and other issues affecting homeowners and the real estate industry.
The BRR Public Policy Committee then interviews participating candidates to better understand their positions, qualifications, and approach to public service. Following those interviews, the committee makes endorsement recommendations to the BRR Board of Directors for final consideration.
For ballot measures, the committee reviews the proposal’s purpose, costs, community impacts, and alignment with REALTOR® priorities before making a recommendation to the Board.
BRR does not make endorsements based solely on political party affiliation. Decisions are based on candidates’ positions, experience, and alignment with REALTOR® priorities and the interests of homeowners and property owners throughout the Boise region.
