The Boise Regional REALTORS® Nominating and Elections Committee, with approval from the Board of Directors, presents the following list of eligible candidates for positions with the BRR and IR boards of directors. All candidates listed below have met the qualifications for the seat(s) for which they are running and are eligible for election (via online ballot) by the BRR membership. Voting will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, and will conclude at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Results of the election will be announced in-person at the Annual Membership meeting on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 and later transmitted electronically to the rest of the membership.
Per Section 11.3 of the bylaws, no more than three (3) REALTORS® from the same real estate firm may simultaneously serve on the Board of Directors. Should a Director change the real estate firm with which they’re affiliated during their term and become the “fourth” Director from one firm, that Director will be permitted to remain on the Board for the remainder for their term.
Candidates may run for multiple positions on the BRR board, but can only be elected for one position (i.e., Vice President or Director). Candidates can be elected to serve as directors on the BRR, IR, and NAR board at the same time. Members may vote for candidates who are running in multiple races for each respective race, if they choose.

1. Building Relationships:
Real estate is all about people, and I’m passionate about creating strong, lasting relationships with fellow agents and other professionals in the industry.
2. Advocating for Homeownership and Property Rights:
I care deeply about protecting homeowners’ rights and staying engaged in legislation that affects property ownership. I believe it’s our responsibility as Realtors to stay informed and involved, ensuring our clients and communities are represented and supported when policies or laws impact them.
3. Promoting Professionalism and Industry Standards:
I’m passionate about maintaining the integrity of our industry. I believe in raising the bar through education, ethical practices, and supporting initiatives that keep our profession strong. Keeping our role as real estate professionals relevant for years to come is especially important to me.
“What draws me most to the Vice President role is the opportunity to strengthen relationships within our Realtor community and to be a strong advocate for what truly matters to our members. I believe that the heart of our industry is connection. When we collaborate, share ideas, and support one another, we all grow stronger and as a result, our industry will as well.
Being Vice President is a chance to serve, to lead with integrity, and help create a culture where relationships, advocacy, and professionalism are at the forefront.” — Andrea Anderson

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
1. NAR Settlement/Zillow-Compass Lawsuit/DOJ Action
2. Helping Veterans access the VA loan benefit.
3. The upcoming massive growth at Micron and what it means for Boise real estate.
“I want to use my broad experience in association leadership as both a volunteer and State CEO over the past 18 years to help guide our members through the upcoming changes in how we conduct business. We are in uncertain times with high interest rates, rising property prices, government enforcement, potential privatization of the GSEs. It is imperative that our Association leaders be actively producing agents who can empathize with all members. I have seen it all and am confident that my experience is a perfect fit for what BRR needs going forward.” — Isaac Chavez

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
I am passionate about Housing Affordability and Access, Legislative Advocacy for Private Property Rights, and Professional Standards and Ethics. I’m committed to expanding access to homeownership across all income levels. Rising prices, limited inventory, and regulatory barriers have made it harder for first-time buyers and working families to enter the market. Through Legislative Advocacy, I support smart policy advocacy, creative financing solutions, and partnerships that make housing more attainable while protecting property rights. Our profession relies on public trust. I’m passionate about upholding the highest ethical standards within our industry, including transparency in transactions, honest marketing, and fair dealing. I believe in strengthening our code of ethics and providing ongoing education that helps Realtors lead with integrity and professionalism.
“I am honored to submit my candidacy for Treasurer for the Boise Regional Realtors for the 2026. With over 40 years of experience in real estate brokerage, development, property management, and financial oversight, I am prepared to serve with integrity, transparency, and fiscal responsibility.
My background includes managing multi-million-dollar real estate projects, overseeing budgets, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
My collaborative leadership style fosters trust, accountability, and a shared vision for our industry’s future.
I would be honored to contribute my skills and experience to the Treasurer role and look forward to the opportunity to serve our Realtor community.” — Craig Groves

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
-Affordability crisis
-How do we best allocate membership assets
-How can we most effectively champion the REALTOR® brand and restore public trust, ensuring the public clearly understands that we are their advocates?
“I was called to leadership in 2020 after witnessing how BRR, IR, NAR, rallied to protect our agents/clients/industry in response to Covid restrictions. I have since served at the state and local levels. As President of RCF I believe that I offered transformational leadership and demonstrated responsible stewardship of membership assets. I want to bring the same leadership and experience to the BRR board.” — Josh Cormier

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
1. Raising Professional Standards through education. I have implemented a New Agent Training program at my brokerage. I feel if the expectation is set from the beginning, it will continue to improve our industry.
2. Understanding our IR Forms completely. Again, this provides a more positive experience for our clients and our industry as a whole.
3. It’s OK to ask for help. We can make it ok to call a fellow agent, leader or mentor for some guidance. Let’s get it right the first time!
“I believe it’s important to continue educating our industry, helping REALTORS® develop strong business habits, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for those who may not be aware of all the support and opportunities our association provides. Working in a large brokerage, I enjoy sharing information about available education, events, and community involvement, and I strongly encourage everyone to participate and stay engaged.” — Robin Cozakos

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
Affordability for Future Generations
I’m increasingly concerned about whether our children and future generations will be able to afford homes in the communities they grew up in. As prices continue to rise, many young adults are being priced out, which not only impacts their financial stability but also the fabric of our communities. I want to be part of the conversation—and the action—that helps protect access to homeownership for everyone, not just a privileged few.
Cost of Living vs. Cost of Housing
The gap between wages and home prices continues to widen, and it’s creating real challenges for working families. It’s not just about the price of a home anymore—it’s also the cost of taxes, insurance, interest rates, and utilities. These financial burdens are pushing people into difficult decisions, and I believe we need to advocate for smarter policy, thoughtful development, and creative solutions to keep housing within reach.
The Role of Real Agents in an AI-Driven World
With the rapid rise of AI tools and technology, there’s a growing narrative that the role of real estate agents may become obsolete. I believe the opposite. Now more than ever, clients need trusted, local professionals who can offer experience, empathy, and real-world insight—things technology alone can’t replicate. I’m passionate about supporting the evolution of our industry while protecting the value of real, human guidance in the home buying and selling process. These issues all connect back to the future of real estate—and I want to be part of shaping that future in a way that’s inclusive, sustainable, and grounded in integrity.
“I’m drawn to the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors because I genuinely want to be more involved in shaping the future of our local real estate community. I believe in the mission of Boise Regional Realtors and see this as a chance to both contribute and grow. I want to help where I’m needed—whether that’s offering insight, supporting initiatives, or being a strong voice for fellow members. At the same time, I’m eager to learn more about the inner workings of the association—how decisions are made, how advocacy efforts are structured, and how we can better support our members and clients. I see this as a way to give back to the industry that’s given so much to me, while deepening my understanding and expanding my impact.” — Kristine Lee

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
Housing Affordability. One of the main reasons we moved to Idaho was to give our kids an opportunity to start their adult lives in a place they can afford to live, work, and play. There are local jurisdictions that are actively trying to make that more difficult with their policies. I want BRR to be a resource for elected officials and a continued advocate for housing policies that ensure the long-term affordability of our area.
Advocacy. I have had the honor this year of being Chair of the BRR Public Policy Committee. It is an amazing and talented group of members! We must continue to support their work with investment in RPAC, so BRR has a seat at the table to influence housing and private property rights policies at the local level. The power of our collective voice is not easily ignored!
Change. If there has been one constant in my nearly 20 years in the real estate industry, it has been change. We have experienced a great deal of change in the last couple years and I predict we will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. As a member focused organization, we need to quickly identify any new challenges and help provide tools and best practices to help members thrive in times of change.
“The real estate industry and the REALTOR community has provided me with so much throughout my career. I believe deeply in serving and would be humbled and honored to serve the BRR membership if chosen to be a BRR Director.
My diverse career in mortgage lending, construction, local government, and as a REALTOR/Managing Broker gives me a unique perspective to help navigate any challenges our association may face in the future. I’ve had the privilege to serve on a number of boards and committees over the years, including serving on state or local REALTOR committees consistently for the past 12 years. I enjoy working in a collaborative manner to build consensus and would continue to do so as YOUR BRR Director.” — Justin Livingston

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
Professionalism – the number one complaint about agents from both the public and other agents is the lack of professional behavior.
Education – the industry is constantly changing, and education is the best tool for staying current and protecting our clients and customers.
Community involvement – we are only as strong as the communities we live in and serve.
“I am passionate about the role of the Association in providing quality education, promoting professionalism, and supporting our community. I really enjoy serving my peers, and representing our members.” — Debbi Myers

What three (3) real estate issues are you most passionate about at the moment and why?
1. Professionalism and Accountability in Real Estate Practice
I believe the foundation of our industry rests on professionalism and adherence to ethical standards. With the influx of new licensees and shifting market dynamics, I’m passionate about raising the bar in agent education, accountability, and competency. When REALTORS® lack the necessary knowledge or professionalism, it not only harms clients but also diminishes the public’s trust in our industry. I am committed to advocating for higher education standards, mentoring, and reinforcing the REALTOR® Code of Ethics as a living, breathing standard—not just a document on paper.
2. Housing Affordability and Sustainable Growth
Housing affordability is a growing challenge in our region. As Idaho continues to attract new residents, we face pressure to balance growth with accessibility. I’m passionate about being part of thoughtful policy discussions that promote smart growth, affordable housing solutions, and sustainable development practices. It’s critical that we work collaboratively with local governments to protect homeownership opportunities for future generations while preserving the unique character of our communities.
3. REALTOR® Advocacy and Protecting Property Rights
REALTOR® involvement in public policy is more important than ever. I am deeply passionate about staying engaged in legislative efforts that protect private property rights, fight for fair housing laws, and defend against overreaching regulations that negatively impact our clients and the real estate profession. I believe REALTORS® must have a strong, unified voice at the state and local levels to influence the policies that shape our industry and protect the ability of our clients to buy, sell, and own property.
“What attracts me to the position of State Director for Boise Regional REALTORS® is the opportunity to serve as a strong advocate for our members and to help bridge the gap between local issues and state-level decision-making. I’m deeply committed to ensuring that the voices and concerns of our members are heard and represented in a meaningful way at the state level.
Having been actively involved in association leadership, I understand the importance of collaboration, policy advocacy, and clear communication in protecting and promoting the interests of REALTORS®. I’m passionate about elevating professionalism within our industry and believe that a proactive, engaged board is essential in navigating the challenges we face.
Additionally, the role of State Director offers the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of Idaho’s real estate landscape by fostering stronger connections between local associations, the state board, and our REALTOR® members. I see this position as a platform to listen, learn, and lead with purpose, ensuring that our industry remains vibrant, ethical, and member-driven.” — Katrina Wehr
